Our Practice – Hervey Bay Physio & Allied health
Hervey Bay Physio and Allied Health has been striving to help the people of Hervey Bay move well for over 20 years. All our therapists are university educated and have been trained to the highest standards. Our therapist utilise the most up to date and evidence based practice to most effectively help treat your conditions. We provide comprehensive physiotherapy and exercise physiology for a range of orthopaedic, sports, muscular and joint problems. These problems can cause you pain and limit your ability to carry out your normal movement, occupation or sport.
Our aim at Hervey Bay Physio is to help you overcome and recover from these conditions so you can get back to enjoying movement again.
Physiotherapists are highly qualified health professionals who work in partnership with their patients to help people get better and stay well.
Physiotherapists also work closely with GPs and other health clinicians to plan and manage treatment. GPs refer more patients to physiotherapists than any other healthcare profession.
Using advanced techniques and evidence-based care, physiotherapists assess, diagnose, treat and prevent a wide range of health conditions and movement disorders. Physiotherapy helps repair damage, reduce stiffness and pain, increase mobility and improve quality of life.
Physiotherapy extends from health promotion to injury prevention, acute care, rehabilitation, maintenance of functional mobility, chronic disease management, patient and carer education and occupational health.
Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) AEPs are university qualified allied health professionals equipped with the knowledge, skills and competencies to design, deliver and evaluate safe and effective exercise interventions for people with acute, sub-acute or chronic medical conditions, injuries or disabilities. Pathology domains covered by the services of AEPs include cardiovascular, metabolic, neurological, musculoskeletal, cancers, kidney, respiratory / pulmonary and mental health, and any other conditions for which there is evidence that exercise can improve the client’s clinical status.
Exercise & Sports Science Australia is the peak professional body and sole accrediting authority for Accredited Exercise Physiologists. ESSA is also the accrediting body for Accredited Exercise Scientists, Accredited Sports Scientists and Accredited High Performance Managers.
